Frequently asked questions.

  • Recovery is a difficulty journey under the best of circumstances. By eliminating the tension, posturing and games played between men and women, we offer an environment where you can focus on the most important thing in your life - recovery. Ground yourself in a strong program, arm yourself with knowledge of red flags in relationships and you will improve your odds for a meaningful relationship in the future.

  • Living free from the worry of everyday life where you can get the help you need, eat regular meals and sleep in a comfortable bed is the starting point. When participating in a structured program without the distractions of the environment where you were struggling, you can focus on your path forward. The supportive community will allow you to reset your mind and move forward with healthy habits and skills to overcome relapse triggers. By living a clean life surrounded by people who care and offer encouragement, you can see a way to live your best life free from addiction.

  • We understand life goes on outside of rehab. Connecting to the important people in your life is part of healing. Phone calls, Visitation and Off-Property Passes are part of the structured program at Clay Crossing. Shortly after arriving we can let your designated contact know you have arrived safe. We have scheduled call times in the evening so you can stay in touch with special relationships. Weekend visitation by preapproved people is encouraged, and as you progress, day and overnight passes can help you prepare for reentry to the unstructured world. The timing of communication outside of Clay Crossing is based on decades of experience with individuals in recovery; it won’t be as much as some would like, but it is in your best interests while in recovery.

  • No belief system is required or forced on anyone in the program at Clay Crossing. While participation is not required in spiritual activities, we believe in the power of a Higher Power. Believing in a power greater than oneself is the path to inner peace. Mindfulness, through surrender and acceptance, will open the way to find purpose and meaning in life. When we don’t see clearly or understand, we can accept our situation with grace knowing we are part of something greater than ourselves. Importantly, faith can insulate us from worldly stress that threatens to drag us back into darkness. If the testimony of countless individuals to the positive power of spirituality is not enough, look at the studies published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and American Psychological Association (APA) supporting spirituality and religious faith playing a role in positive outcomes in substance abuse recovery.

  • Yes, Clay Crossing has agreements with the following insurance companies: Sooner Choice, Oklahoma Complete Health, Aetna, Humana, Health Choice, and Medicaid.
